For the second year in a row we supported a local charity, 'Operation Santa Paws' this holiday season.

Thanks to your generosity the donation box was almost filled to the brim!

On Friday December 22nd, I drove up to the Operation Santa Paws drop off site at the spcaLA P.D. Pitchford Companion Animal Village in Long Beach to drop off our box. You can see our big red box in the picture. This is only a fraction of the thousands of pounds of pet food, grooming products and chew toys that had been collected.

Inside the facility, "Santa Paws" and his volunteers placed the gifts under a Christmas tree and handed out a few treats to the animals themselves.

All in all thousands of pounds of pet food, grooming products and chew toys had been collected for these abused and abandoned animals in our community. This year's fundraiser exceeded 2004's milestone and is considered a huge success.

Our 2005 Holiday Charity is
Operation Santa Paws
 
 
PCU's own Sigma Delta Kappa Law Fraternity is teaming with Haute Dogs to help Operation Santa Paws and WE NEED YOUR HELP.

During the 2005 holiday season extra help is needed for 4,000+ abused and abandoned animals in the care of local animal shelters and rescues. One local grassroots organization, "Operation Santa Paws," is helping by spearheading a canine/feline toy/treat drive to benefit less-fortunate pets this season.

Please bring a new dog or cat toy, treat or other supply and drop it into the collection box located in the rear of the upper classroom.

Please note that because of safety and/or housekeeping concerns, stuffed toys, rawhide items and pig ears can not be accepted.
